Bill Wyman has three collectors’ CD boxsets now available on iTunes and Amazon, including albums from The End, Bill himself, and as Willie and the Poor Boys.
Bill Wyman has a long career stretching across decades of influential music – and it isn’t just limited to the Rolling Stones or Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings. Bill has produced albums for legendary bands such as The End, as well as creating his own library of acclaimed work. Now, three collectors’ edition box sets are on sale through iTunes and Amazon, providing a musical tour of Bill’s extensive catalogue of work.
From Beginning To End
In 1965 The End arose from the glowing embers of the earlier Tuxedos, Innocents and Original Topics, and like many of their contemporaries evolved into a psychedelic group. Along the way, they won the support and patronage of the Rolling Stones’ Bill Wyman, who produced their sole album for Decca, “Introspection” (CD2). This 4 CD set brings the collected albums together into once amazing set.
The Complete Willie and the Poor Boys
Bill has released The Complete Willie and the Poor Boys album – an anthology of the collaborative albums and the movie, along with special bonus material. The Complete Willie and the Poor Boys has the hit 1985 collaborative album with Charlie Watts, Andy Fairweather-Low, Mickey Gee and Geraint Watkins, plus a 1992 live album and a DVD featuring Willie and the Poor Boys – The Movie with bonus material. The album is released through the Edsel label, and is available on Demon Music.
White Lightnin’ The Solo Box
White Lightnin’ The Solo Box features four of Bill’s albums and a special DVD. This box contains all four solo albums by Bill Wyman, the first Rolling Stone to release a solo record. The first two (from 1974 and 1976, both issued on Rolling Stones Records) were made the help of a galaxy of musical friends like Lowell George, Dr John, Joe Walsh, Van Morrison, the Pointer Sisters, Danny Kortchmar, Dallas Taylor, Leon Russell, Bob Welch and Nicky Hopkins.
