Bill has loaned a Bury St Edmunds museum part of his collection of metal detecting finds, showing them to the public for the first time.
Available to view at Moyse’s Hall Museum, Bill has loaned a number of items from his collection for public display as part of the museum’s Lost Property exhibition.
Included in the collection are a Roman lock and a 17th Century seal. Bill has been a serious metal detectorist since he left the Rolling Stones – including launching his own Bill Wyman Signature Metal Detector.
Bill has showcased many of his finds on his official web site – view Bill’s metal detecting finds here.
Also included in the exhibition is a water jug that Bill found, along with a Bronze Age sword and plastaves that were given to him by Charlie Watts.
Bill was so inspired about metal detecting, he has also written a book – Bill Wyman’s Treasure Islands – which you can buy from Bill’s official online store as a signed edition!
