Taken from Bill’s 1982 third solo album – the eponymously-titled Bill Wyman – A New Fashion is Bill’s track of the week.

Widely acknowledged as the most adventurous solo album ever to come from a member of the Rolling Stones, Bill Wyman’s 1982 LP reinvented the bassist as a master of effortlessly commercial synth-pop, including the massive hit single Je Suis Un Rock Star and its popular follow-up, Come Back Suzanne.

The album Bill Wyman is now available as part of the 4-LP collector’s edition White Lightnin’.

Built around the hit singles (Si, Si) Je Suis Un Rock Star, Come Back Suzanne and A New Fashion, erstwhile Stones’ bassist Bill Wyman’s third, eponymously-titled solo album was released in March 1982.

Guest players included Brian Seltzer, Slim Jim Phantom, Chris Rea, Dave Mattacks and Terry Taylor. The bonus tracks on this expanded edition are all single edits culled from the album, previously unavailable on CD.
