Bill has shared the sad news that his friend, John Jeremy Lloyd, OBE, has passed away, and Bill wanted to pay tribute to the English screenwriter, writer, actor and poet.

John Jeremy Lloyd, OBE, is most famed for his work on iconic British sitcoms, including TV hits such as Are You Being Served and ‘Allo ‘Allo. Jeremy died on December 22, 2014 and Bill says he had been a friend for more than 40 years.

Jeremy was responsible for some of the best writing to grace British TV screens, and Bill revealed that Jeremy wrote ‘Allo ‘Allo in Bill’s house in France, which he rented from Bill for three months.

My family and I were very fortunate to spend a wonderful week in the South of France last summer with Jeremy and his wife Lizzie.

Suzanne and I attended his funeral yesterday at the Chelsea Old Church, together with many friends and associates including Joanna Lumley, photographer Terry O’Neill and fellow-musician Jeff Beck” says Bill.

Jeremy will be sadly missed.
