Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings’ Marseille gig, interview

Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings played in Marseille on July 6 to mark the start of the four-day World Bowls¬†La Marseillaise, where the band played at the opening ceremony and Bill gave a great video interview that you can watch.

Bill gave the interview to France 3 Provence, where he talked about his relationship with the Rolling Stones today, his music and the Rhythm Kings. He also revealed more about his passions and work after the Rolling Stones, and his previous visits to Marseille with the Rolling Stones.

  1. Well Bill, I saw you in Sept. 1963 at Cambridge Rex Ballroom, and we had a nice chat ( also with Brian ) and got the autographs after the gig. I always tell people that you were a nice man. I was interested in mouth harps ( for my little band – I was 15) which Brian clued me up on, this when you were setting up. I then saw the Stones 3 more times in 63/64. Also got to the o2 recently – a friend treated me. I see you were at Sete – nice place ( or plaice maybe ?). I shall try to get to your gig at Market Harborough near where I now live.
