Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings announce 10-CD ‘Ultimate Collection’ retrospective
Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings will release the new 10-CD retrospective Ultimate Collection on 16 October 2026, bringing together the complete story of the much-loved band that defined the next chapter of Bill’s musical career.
Available to pre-order now, Ultimate Collection spans the full Rhythm Kings catalogue, featuring all six studio albums, two acclaimed live recordings, the sought-after Studio Time outtakes collection and a brand-new compilation, Best Of The Bootleg Kings.
Formed after Bill left The Rolling Stones in 1991, Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings became one of the most celebrated live bands of their era, performing more than 600 shows over two decades and earning a reputation for their infectious love of blues, rock 'n' roll, jazz, rhythm and blues, and American roots music.
The new collection showcases the extraordinary musicians who helped shape the band, including Terry Taylor, Albert Lee, Georgie Fame, Andy Fairweather Low, Beverley Skeete, Dave Hartley, Nick Payn, Mike Sanchez, Graham Broad, Gary Brooker, Frank Mead and Martin Taylor. It also features appearances from a remarkable cast of special guests, including George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Chris Rea and Peter Frampton.
Reflecting on the origins of the band, Bill says:
“I left the Stones in ’91, then I got married and settled, but a year later I was thinking of doing music again. So I just got a few people together. It was almost like doing solo albums with a lot of friends.”
That spirit of friendship and musical adventure runs throughout Ultimate Collection. From original songs and blues classics to live favourites and rare recordings, the set captures the energy, warmth and joy that made the Rhythm Kings such a unique band.
The collection includes:
- All six Rhythm Kings studio albums
- Live (recorded in Berlin, 2004)
- Live Communications (recorded in Dorking, 2008)
- Studio Time, featuring rare and unreleased recordings
- The brand-new compilation Best Of The Bootleg Kings
- A 24-page booklet featuring photographs from Bill’s personal archive
- A new interview with Bill Wyman and Beverley Skeete conducted by broadcaster and journalist Paul Sexton
A special limited-edition version also includes an exclusive art print signed by Bill Wyman.
Housed in deluxe 7-inch single-style packaging, Ultimate Collection is the definitive celebration of Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings and an essential addition for fans and collectors alike.

It's been said many times that what Bill Wyman brought to the Rolling Stones was electricity - he had some great amps and speakers - but more importantly, what he and Charlie Watts provided was a rhythm section that was rock solid.
