Charity Show for the Kampuchea Appeal at Ringwood, Hampshire. Featured Bill's interviews and his live band performed. £11,000 was raised for the appeal.

Show: President's Inauguration party at the Convention Centre, Washington, DC. Ronnie played with Lee Atwater, Bo Diddley, Willie Dixon and Percy Sledge.

Award: The Rolling Stones (without Bill and Charlie) inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York.
As Bill and Charlie didn’t attend, they didn’t receive their awards until many years later, when Bill complained.
