Bill has revealed a collection of recent Roman item discoveries he has made while out metal detecting – and you can view the Roman gallery here.

Bill has been detecting for years – and he even has his own Signature Metal Detector, which he designed to be especially appealing to newcomers and children looking to get involved with metal detecting.

Bill is a regular detectorist, and has a wealth of discoveries and finds to his name – including some that have been donated to museums. Bill’s finds include coins and even ancient artefacts, as well as Roman items such as in this collection.

Among the finds are Roman brooches, tweezers, hooks, spoons, belt mounts, locks and spindle whorls. His finds date back from around 40 AD, and the finds are topped off by the magnificent Roman Zoomorphic brooch (100-250 AD) which is in excellent condition.
