Sunday 18th July 2010
Bill began the day in earnest on Monday, June 14, replying to emails and catching up with business files – Bill also noted that the DVD release of The Rolling Stones: Stones In Exile was released today by Eagle Vision. By lunchtime, Bill had make cracking progress, and so took a break to watch the live football between Holland and Demark, with Bill unimpressed with the football and reckoning Holland’s 2-0 flattered them.

Back to work for a while for Bill, continuing to work through his business files before stopping to watch what Bill reckoned was a dull game between Japan and Cameroon. Later, Bill watched the match between Italy and Paraguay, before having dinner and turning off from football for the rest of the evening.

The next day followed a similar pattern, with Bill clocking up the miles working through his business files and meeting with Caroline from Ripple Records to chat business. He also worked through Bill Trem’s photos from the St Paul event – see the photo gallery here – before another dull game between New Zealand and Slovakia.

In the evening, Bill and Suzanne left to attend the launch of the new Samsung premium smart phone at the Altitude 360 Tower in Millbank, stopping for photos and interviews with various TV, radio and internet media channels when he arrived. Bill says the music during the launch was Alexandra Burke, who sang live over tracks. Afterwards, Bill and Suzanne went out for dinner, before arriving home to catch the highlights from the rest of the day’s football.

The last day in London before heading off to Gedding on Wednesday, June 16, and Bill used the day to work through business matters, update his digital photo archive in iPhoto, and watch World Cup 2010 football.

On Thursday, Bill got up to head to Gedding – and the news that Suzanne had bought another another, this one for Matilda. Bill headed off to Gedding at 10am, arriving in time for lunch and to catch the Argentina versus South Korea game that Bill says was very entertaining, ending 4-1 to Argentina. Bill also installed everything on his new computer, before going out for a walk with his digital camera, taking photos of nature over a two-hour period. Bill made it back in time to watch the France vesus Mexico game that was a real thriller, with Mexico winning 2-0.

Friday, and Bill started the day reading through and replying to email, as well as working on various items that have come down from London over the last few months. More football during the day, then the England versus Algeria match that Bill says was a real bore and the poorest he’d seen England play for some years. A 0-0 disappointment. The next morning, Bill watched more football before heading over for dinner at this son Stephen’s house, and was joined by a couple who were racehorse breeders, with the evening given over to chatting about lots of different subjects.

Sunday, June 20 – and Bill got calls from his daughters Katie, Jessie and Matilda to wish him happy Father’s day, and Bill spent a great day watching football and relaxing on the sofa.
