Thursday 11th March 2010
With Thursday, February 11 given over to business meetings and work for the majority of the day, Bill then went out with Suzanne, Jessie and Matilda to watch a variety of films, with Bill watching Avatar in 3D. Bill says the film, which was nominated for several Oscars, was stunning and he enjoyed it immensely.

The next few days were given over to work, with Bill working solidly on projects, until Sunday. Then, Bill saw Suzanne and girls off on a winter skiing holiday to Nice. Bill then spent the rest of the day watching football and working on projects, stopping to chat to friends including Lana Topham, Terry O’Neill and Ian Lafrenais on the phone.

Terry O’Neill arrived at Bill’s London home on Monday in the evening, and both Bill and Terry went by car to the Terry O’Neill photo exhibition (photo above) at the Chris Beetles gallery in St James in London. Bill chatted to lots of friends, including Dominique Tarle, the French photographer on the Exile recording sessions, as well as writer Rod Gilchrist and the actor Jeremy Irons. Bill says that Jeremy always comes across as a really good man, and Bill spent a while talking with Jeremy. Later, Christ Beetles gave a speech to the gathered crowd, followed by Bill giving a speech, which Bill says got lots of laughs from the crowd. It even got a congratulations from Jeremy Irons.

The event even got a write-up in the Daily Mail:

Daily Mail (16.2.10) said: “Firm friends for four-and-a-half decades, former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman was among guests at celebrity snapper Terry O'Neill's party for his New & Unseen exhibition at Chris Beetles' St James's gallery. O'Neil has photographed the Stones many times, but Wyman revealed that, in 45 years, he has never taken a photo of Terry - and passed up the chance in 1983. The opportunity had arisen when Terry flew to the south of France for his honeymoon with Hollywood actress Faye Dunaway. The newlyweds stayed at a hotel near Wyman's Riviera home, giving the former Stones bassist a perfect view of the couple's amorous antics on their hotel room balcony. 'I chose not to take any photographs of them,' says a gallant Wyman. 'If I had, it would have made for a much bigger exhibition than this one.'

The celebrity evening wasn’t done, either. After the exhibition, Bill went to the Wolseley Restaurant near the Ritz Hotel, and had a great meal for ten people, including Terry O’Neill, Lorraine Aston, and others. Bill says that Joan Collins arrived looking really well, and spent some time chatting.

On Tuesday, February 16, Bill headed off to Gedding from London, before cracking straight back on with his projects – problems with Photoshop a slight distraction but one that Bill overcame. The following few days followed a similar pattern, with Bill spending much of the day working on his projects, taking business calls, and working on a variety of odd jobs around the house, getting rid of lots of stuff in a early Spring clean.
