With January’s tour still fresh in Bill’s mind, Bill was up early on Monday, February 1 working on paperwork from the recent tour, as well as working through photos and listening to music on iTunes. In the afternoon, Dave dropped off all Bill’s luggage from the tour, as well as posters and wine, and the new guitar from Framus in Germany.

With the early part of the afternoon given over to unpacking and sorting out work following the tour, Bill then welcomed both Ian and Doris Lafrenais to his home. In the evening, more guests arrived, including Jo Wood, Jerry Hall, Bill Nighey, and Anne Lampton. Bill says the evening was great, with good food and drink, and everyone left before midnight.

Tuesday saw Bill hard at work, as well as listening to music and watching the FA Cup 4th Round replay between Crystal Palace and Wolves, before calling it a day. On Wednesday, Bill met up with Ian Lafrenais and Tarquin Gotch for lunch at the Ivy Restaurant, before returning home to work on his Events Master for 2000-2001. With dinner over, Bill caught up with more football – this time between Leeds and Tottenham.

The next few days proved quiet for Bill. The days were mainly immersed in work on his projects, working through his photos, and grabbing time to watch the odd football match on TV. Bill did re-emerge from his projects on Monday, February 8, when he walked with Ian Lafrenais to the Italian restaurant in Worlds End in Chelsea, having dinner with Jimmy Nail and his wife Miriam, Tony and Audie Charles, and Brenda Johnson (the wife of a member of the band AC/DC).

With Tuesday given over to working on projects – Ian flew back to Los Angeles – Bill was out again on Wednesday, with Suzanne and Bill going for dinner with Wendy Asher and friend at Pizza Express. After, Bill walked to the Shepherd’s Bush Empire and went backstage to meet with Peter and Wendy Asher’s daughter Victoria, who is in the band Cobra Starship. Bill stayed for the gig, which included the Plastiscenes, Force Family 5, and Cobra Starship, and Bill says the venue absolutely rocked.
