Sunday 21st February 2010
Saturday, January 30 – and the day of the last gig of the current January 2010 Rhythm Kings tour, with the band heading by bus to Leiden. Once checked in, Bill went to the hotel dining area to grab a snack and chat to friends of the band and Georgie, before being joined by Tony and Frank. Bill also did a quick video interview with two men from Toazted, who Bill then invited to watch the evening’s show.

The evening’s gig at the Stadsgehoorzaal was packed, with a sold-out and enthusiastic crowd roaring their welcome as the Rhythm Kings kicked off the first set with I Got A Woman (Georgie), followed by Sweet Soul Music (Beverley), Jump Jive And Wail (Albert), Maggie's Farm (Geraint), Too Late (Terry), Everytime I Roll The Dice (Albert), All Night Long (Bill), Three Cool Cats (Georgie), Chicken Shack Boogie (Geraint), I'll Be Satisfied (Beverley), That's Rock And Roll (Albert), and You Never Can Tell (Bill).
A short break to head backstage, then Bill and the Rhythm Kings were back with It's A Man's World (Beverley), I'm Ready (Albert), My Toot Toot (Georgie), Just Your Fool (Frank), Race With The Devil (Terry), I Just Wanna Make Love To You (Beverley), Hit The Road Jack (Georgie), That's Better For Me Baby (Terry), Johnny B Goode (Geraint), Just For A Thrill (Georgie), and Honky Tonk Women (Bill). The band also performed several encores to the crowd, who were now on their feet. The great audience and wild cheering was a fitting end to a great tour. With Bill leaving – signing autographs on the way – Terry and Bill were driven to Amsterdam to stay in the American Hotel, ready to tomorrow’s trip home.

On Sunday, Bill had breakfast in his room while watching the Australian tennis final between Federer and Murray, which Federer won in straight sets. Then, it was onto the train to Brussels and onto the Eurostar for the trip home, arriving in London just after 6pm. Bill then faced a 30 minute queue for a taxi, which didn’t thrill him much, before finally arriving home.
