Thursday 4th February 2010
Monday saw Bill have a relaxing day following the previous day's gigs and photo exhibition reception for Wyman Shoots at the VIP gallery. After a slow morning, Bill did a 20-minute phone interview with the daily newspaper in Leiden in Holland to promote the final show of the Rhythm Kings tour, on January 30. Bill also caught up with Peter de Raaf from the VIP gallery to chat about the photo exhibition.

By the time the evening rolled around, Bill went by taxi across town to the La Vallade French restaurant, where Bill joined some local musician friends for a good meal, good wine and – most importantly – good conversation.

The next day – Tuesday, January 19 – saw Bill get up early to work on his diary, then pack to head by bus from Amsterdam to Dusseldorf. After arriving in the afternoon, and meeting around 20 fans all eager for Bill to sign autographs and pose for photos, Bill checked into the hotel next to the venue for the evening's gig.

A quick sound check followed, which Bill says went well, and Bill then headed back to the hotel, signing photos on the way. After getting ready, Bill realized that the venue didn't have a back entrance – instead, Bill and the rest of the Rhythm Kings had to enter the front and walk through the audience, an experience described by Bill as rather crazy.

Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings took to the stage just after 8pm, playing to an enthusiastic, sold-out audience that had packed into the Savoy Theatre, Dusseldorf. The first set was I Got A Woman (Georgie), Sweet Soul Music (Beverley), Jump Jive And Wail (Albert), Too Late (Terry), Everytime I Roll The Dice (Albert), All Night Long (Bill), Chicken Shack Boogie (Geraint), Three Cool Cats (Georgie), I'll Be Satisfied (Beverley), That's Rock And Roll (Albert), and You Never Can Tell (Bill).

A wave of applause signalled the end of the first set, with the band retiring backstage for a 20-minute break, before reappearing to a great reception. The second set was It's A Man's World (Beverley), I'm Ready (Albert), My Toot Toot (Georgie), Just Your Fool (Frank), Race With The Devil (Terry), I Just Wanna Make Love To You (Beverley), Hit The Road Jack (Georgie), That's Better For Me Baby (Terry), Johnny B Goode (Geraint), Just For A Thrill (Georgie), and rounding off with Honky Tonk Women (Bill).

A standing ovation was deserved and duly delivered, with the band returning for encores of Crying In The Rain (Albert and Beverley), I Put A Spell On You (Beverley), and Tear It Up (Albert). Bill says that it was great that the audience were all standing during the last few songs, and Bill then headed off stage, taking time to sign items for fans and pose for photos.
