Bill shares his 80th birthday party concert moments

Bill has shared his thoughts from his recent 80th birthday party concert held at London’s Indigo at the O2 – along with a video message from the Rolling Stones.

Bill says:

I wanted to share with all of you some moments from my wonderful 80th birthday party concert at the Indigo at the O2. So many good friends turned up on the night, including my house band, Joe Brown, Molly Marriott, Mark Knopfler, Van Morrison, Andy Fairweather Low, Martin Taylor, Hollie Stephenson, Bob Geldof, Stevie Van Zandt, Mick Hucknall, Mike Sanchez, Imelda May, and Robert Plant. But unfortunately not everybody made the encore photo (courtesy of Hamish Macdonald).

It was quite an emotional evening for me and there were plenty more surprises on the night. I was presented with the BluesFest Lifetime Achievement Award from Live Nation, and my old bandmates, who could not make it due to being in the final stages of an American Tour, sent me, with a wry sense of humour, the following message…
